1. Beautiful architecture of Kotor

Attention culture seekers! During a tour in Montenegro, a visit to Kotor should not be missed. From the Historic Boutique Hotel Cattaro you can be in the city in no time and admire its beauty. History is a good thing in Kotor, as this city has an impressive past. Not only the past is worth mentioning, the presence of twelve squares is also special. So special in fact, that this group has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The friendly people and nice atmosphere make you feel like a real local as soon as you walk through the city. That this city is a feast for the eyes is evident from the fact that Kotor is located in a fjord with views of breathtaking mountains and a soothing sea. In combination with the Venetian architecture, this completes the picture.

2. Hidden bays in Budva

Of course, sun, sea and beach should not be missed during a holiday. Fortunately, you have come to the right place during a tour in Montenegro. The most beautiful bays can be found in the pearl of this municipality, namely Budva. The beautiful bay in Budva is fantastic because of its golden sandy strip where you will love to roll out your towel. Thanks to the Mediterranean character, the atmosphere here is good, and this is also the place to be for a snack and a drink. Grab a seat at any restaurant for a hearty and traditional meal, or have a look at one of the many open-air bars. This will help you get through the day! If you drive a little further, you will end up in Becici or Petrovac. These are also the ideal locations for a day of zen. Moreover, the crystal clear sea invites you for a dip. Water lover or not, no one can resist the blue sea here. Would you like to stay near the hidden bays in Budva? Then Hotel Moskva is the place to be! Be surprised by the charm and enjoy your time in this fantastic hotel to the fullest.

3. The nice beaches in Montenegro

We have already mentioned a number of unknown bays where you can enjoy the peace and quiet, but those looking for more excitement have also come to the right place in Montenegro. Here you will find numerous popular places with beaches that are worth visiting. How about the beaches of Ulcinj, for example? The city's most famous and main beach is Mala Plaža, but you will find many more places to roll out your towel here. The most special is the almost 13 km long sandy beach Velika Plaža that you will find in Ulcinj. You can also spend some time in Mogren and Lucice. Enjoy the beautiful view of the clear water, the impressive caves and the many pine trees at Mogren Beach. Are you traveling to Petrovac? Then you can enjoy the relaxing atmosphere on Lučice beach from early in the morning until late in the evening. In addition to the relaxed atmosphere, you will also be amazed by the clear blue water. Time to feast your eyes and have a nice swim!

Countless celebrities have already gone before you and enjoyed this beautiful part of Montenegro. Although it used to serve as a hideaway, today it is used as a luxury resort. As a result, a day at the beach in Sveti Stefan is not cheap, but definitely worth it. Would you like to stay in this beautiful part of Montenegro? Then Villa Edelweiss is the solution! 5. The atmospheric cities

During our stay in Montenegro, a number of places stood out that we think are more than worth a visit. One of them is Perast. This is an old village near the Bay of Kotor. With only 350 inhabitants, this village is characterized by its small but nice character. Real attractions are the two small popular islands off the coast, called Gospa od Škrpjela and Sveti Dorde. As far as we are concerned, reason enough to stay in this beautiful picture, which you can do to perfection at Villa Perast Herceg Novi and Ada Bojana are also real must-visits. Both places are very popular and very vibrant. Herceg Novi is located in the northwest of Montenegro and also the entrance to the Bay of Kotor. The city is a real eye-catcher with its historic churches, forts and squares, so put a stay at Master 5 Apartments on your bucket list. Are you visiting the island of Ada Bojana? Then an afternoon of kite or windsurfing should not be missed.

6. Enjoy the unspoiled nature in Durmitor Nature Park

A tour through Durmitor National Park is certainly not a punishment. You will find this park in the north, a part that you should definitely not miss during your tour in Montenegro. Thanks to the beauty of this park, this hotspot has also ended up on the UNESCO World Heritage List. You'll start your exploration through the park in the town of Žabljak, which is an attraction in itself. From there you have several options to discover the park. What is highly recommended? The walk on Bobotov Kuk, which literally and figuratively leads your journey to a highlight. Don't you mind a little action? Then we can more than recommend that you go rafting on the banks of the deepest gorge in Europe: the Tara. In addition to the two rivers, the Tara and Piva, the Crno Jezero lake is also not to be missed. In winter this lake will turn into a true ice spectacle and in summer this is the perfect place for swimming. This is also a good base for participating in other outdoor sports. With flora and fauna in abundance, you can be amazed here for a whole day. Want to continue the nature experience at the end of the day? Woodland is the right address for this, because this accommodation is only 2 kilometers away from the park. So let that nature experience begin!

7. Delicious food with foreign influences

The food will perhaps surprise you most during a tour in Montenegro. Restaurants in Montenegro like to use fresh ingredients that can be tasted in every bite. Although the cuisine of this country with its classic fish dishes and prosciutto seems to resemble Italian cuisine, there are also many typical Balkan dishes. Here you will find traditional Hungarian stews, which provide a true taste sensation. So be sure to order a čorba if you like meat, or a vegetarian sataraš. Even the influences of Turkish cuisine can be found, because meat specialities such as lamb and mutton are on almost every menu. So you've come to the right place for Güveç or delicious kebab. Turkish Baklava and Burek are also on the menu here. Do you want to taste what the locals eat here? Then order a black risotto or a Kacamak. Must-try local drinks are Nikšicko or the strong liqueur Rakija made from plums or herbs. Enjoy it!
