Budva

The ancient city of Budva, surrounded by defense walls, is a true urban and architectural jewel. The old town of Budva, characterized by typically Mediterranean architecture, stands on an island connected to the mainland by a strip of sand that eventually became a peninsula. It is surrounded by 15th century bastions that form a medieval fortification system with gates, defensive walls and towers. The narrow and winding streets, squares, churches and fortresses offer a suggestive environment.

In front of the city is the island of San Nicola, with the remains of the old convent and the church, surrounded by a crystalline sea, where, inserted in the Mediterranean vegetation, there are restaurants and open-air bars, which, during the day, are an ideal place for refreshments and bathing along the beautiful sandy beaches.
