The Project of VesuvioTour
But the world is our playground, right? So I started to search for new destinations following my philosophy of tourism: I believe in a return to authenticity and traditions against impersonal and bustle big hotel and mass tourism. We need a time out from the velocity and the stress of our daily life, fortunately there are lots of marvellous and unique accommodations with charme available! Our aim is to find as many as possible to propose them to our guests. Last but not least, a huge warm thank to the team of VesuvioTour: without your passion and effort VesuvioTour would not be the same!
"We have personally visited the accommodations and selected only the one with these features: a welcoming owner, immersed in a lovely and quiet environment, convenient price/quality, organic food or wine production, good position for your excursions."
Gianluca Pesenti Campagnoni
Owner, contract manager
I am a graduate in Sociology, passionate about writing and travel, which has always sought after a new culture to explore and new territory to cross, following an inner need to grow throughout meeting many different people around the world. I believe is still possible to find authentic spots where traditions will become part of a journey, small hand-picked accommodations with charming decorations, own by friendly owners, set in a perfect location, which makes our trip so special. My motto: little is more!
Duygu
Bookings Consultant and Manager of Operation
Ciao!
My name is Duygu and I have been working at VesuvioTour since a few years now. With lots of enthusiasm, I advise clients and organize holidays in Italy, the land of my dreams! I manage to do this by transforming all my passion into my work.
Hard to tell with words. I always wanted to go to Italy and the first time I was there, I felt home immediately, as if I had been there before. The combination of lights, colors, and scents create a specific atmosphere where I feel at home.
After my second visit to Italy, I decided to learn the language, and followed courses in different levels. I picked up the language without much effort, and I was even offered one month’s scholarship to study in Perugia. It was an amazing experience in one of my favourite areas! In the meantime I speak, eat and live an Italian lifestyle, with no regrets!
How did I land at VesuvioTour?
To cut a long story short; I was looking for something where I could translate my passion and feel happy. After searching for a long time, I finally came across VesuvioTour where I could use my Italian language skills and culture. By working here, I have learnt a lot more about the country, which makes it even more interesting and fun for myself but also for my clients, because I am able to transform my passion into my work.
I greatly look forward to helping you organise a fantastic trip to Italy!
Jaleesa
Junior Account Manager, Sales assistant
Hola a todos! My name is Jaleesa Latupeirissa and I am passionate about Spain. Together we are expanding to this beautiful country where the sun always shines. I have lived and worked in different places in Spain and fell in love with the country; the people and the food! I want to convey the passion that I feel for Spain to our guests. An authentic journey full of culture, gastronomy and nature is what you can find in Spain and in the travels of Vesuvio Tour.
The lovely people, the gastronomy and the art is what makes this country so rich. I would therefore like to transmit my passion which I feel for Spain to the clients.
An authentic journey of culture, gastronomy and nature is what Vesuvio Tour can offer you. For me, a holiday far away from mass tourism is a unique combination of emotion, education and pleasure!
Saskia Balmaekers
Blogger, writer
Saskia Balmaekers (born in 1980) became addicted to Italy during her very first encounter in Rome. It was thanks to the scents, delicious food, busy gesticulating people and the language that this happened. Starting in Rome, she continued to explore the rest of Italy; from Napels and the Amalfi Coast in the south, to Milan and Venice in the north.
The Italian language was no longer a secret for Saskia. After an intensive summer course in Florence, she followed different types of studies at the Istituto Italiano di Cultura in Amsterdam and at the language school Leonardo da Vinci in Siena.
Saskia aims to target as many people as possible to communicate just how beautiful (and delicious) Italy actually is. Since February 1st 2010, she writes daily on Ciaotutti.nl about her Italian experiences. Besides that, she writes books and e-books about Italy. Hopefully in this way, the passion will also grow in The Netherlands, and la dolce vita feeling will become a second nature here!
Sasha Kalashnikova
Photographer
I am a professional photographer based in Amsterdam. When I first met Gianluca, he told me about his project of sustainable tourism and I was really curious about it.
A few years later, he suggests I travel to Italy to make photo-shoots at the selected accommodations. I was truly stunned to discover that in today’s world these types of mansions have become such lovely Hotels. And that Italy was so rich in art and history! Looking forward for the next trip to Spain now ?
Debora
Business Development Manager
Ciao a tutti, my name is Debora, I'm Italian. I did a lot of different jobs in my life... Why? Because life is unique and it's a pity to focus just on one passion or on one country. That' s why when in 2017 I had the opportunity to move to Amsterdam, I simply did it! :) I joined this fantastic company "VesuvioTour" as Account Manager, it was a great and joyful adventure that combined my two favourite topics Travel and Customer Management.
