When Vila Perast was founded, it was just a shadow of its former self - part of the abandoned Hotel Fjord (which still lies in a dilapidated state in Kotor). The ceiling in the rooms had collapsed, the paint was peeling from the walls, and a filthy concrete surface covered the floors. The electrical wires were too old and worn to be trusted. Gradually, as multiple layers of ancient and unyielding paint were scraped away and parquet was pulled up, the grand old Vila could breathe again. The contemporary and pleasant interior details of this Vila are a mix of stone and wood. It is a Mali hotel with the warmth and charm of a bed-and-breakfast.
