Langhe and Roero between nature and landscape

Langhe:

It is impossible to think of the Langhe without associating them with gastronomy. The territory is a succession of vineyards: the wines are among the typical local products and the names of the localities smell of wine, Barolo, Barbaresco, Roero.

But the typical products are also truffles, meats, cheeses and meats. The famous white truffle of Alba, for which every year there is an important fair that attracts many visitors, even beyond the national borders, in Alba. In 2016, the 86th edition of the Alba International White Truffle Fair is held from 8 October to 20 November. Thanks to its products, the whole area has become a destination for food and wine tourism.

The territory is very suggestive, you come across the steep profiles of the Roero Rocks, which have become part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, in the hills of the Langa del Barolo and Barbaresco and their vineyards, up to the scenery of the Alta Langa, where dominates the lush green of the woods.

Alba:
In the heart of Langhe we have the city of Alba.
Alba is an Italian town in the province of Cuneo in Piedmont. The city is also part of the charming district of the Langhe, the historic Piedmont region between the provinces of Asti and Cuneo included in 2014 along with Roero and Monferrato in the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites.Alba is also nicknamed the "city of a hundred towers" for the high number of towers built in the past for defensive purposes.
Alba has an important historical and cultural heritage: the ancient temple, the theater and the forum of Roman times, the first baptismal font and the medieval towers disappeared await you around the streets of the city.

The city excels in October and November during the World Market of Alba White Truffle, ideal place to appreciate and buy the truffles of the territory of Langhe, Monferrato and Roero.

Roero:
The Roero is a geographical and historical area of Piedmont, located in the north-east of the province of Cuneo. It takes its name from the family of the same name "The House of Roero" which dominated this territory for a long time.
