Description
The ancient farmhouse dates back to 1610. It was probably born as a papal customs house for the Duchy of Castro, as it has a large cellar dug into the tuff, 40 meters long, which could hardly have been built for a single family. Later, in 1810, the farmhouse became the residence of Luciano Bonaparte, prince of Canino and Musignano, who came to the area to purchase the splendid lands of this territory. In this period the large cellar was used for storing wine from the surrounding area.
As evidence of Bonaparte's passage, it is still possible to admire part of the ancient lilac hedge that once surrounded the entire farmhouse, as well as the coats of arms on the main door and the entrance gate.
In the environments immersed in the history of Casale Bonaparte, 4 welcoming rooms and an apartment have been created, which still retain the ancient fireplaces today, and which allow visitors to experience the true history of these places.
Every morning when you wake up the table will already be set for a rich sweet and savory breakfast, served as a buffet.
