Mozzarella and pizza making in Sorrento

Description

STABLE TO TABLE - FARM TO TABLE duration about 2 and a half hours, price €45 per person (€55 with pick-up and drop-off from SORRENTO), departure time at 10.30 am in the square in Schiazzano or 10:15 am from Sorrento.

  • From the meeting point (piazzetta di Schiazzano) you will be transported with the Ape Calessino along the mule track that reaches the Turuziello.
  • Guided tour of the 'Il Turuziello" farm by De Gregorio Benedetto, cheesemakers in the third generation, everything starts from the barn where the cows are located, starting with the feeding of the cows (GMO FREE certified by the DOP Provolone del Monaco of which the company is a member founder since 2005)
  • visit to the company dairy (where the traditional processes of working the company's fior di latte mozzarella will be literally explained)
  • mozzarella making show which literally consists in coagulating the milk at the moment in order to make the caciottine, and then move on to the processing of the curd just taken in the dairy so as to taste the freshly made mozzarella
  • finally begins the tasting of everything that has been presented (Provolone del Monaco DOP + freshly made caciottina + ricotta + mozzarella di fior di latte), also presented Penisola Sorrentina PDO extra virgin olive oil and its various flavors (lemon, chilli, orange, basil, oregano, basil and truffle), all accompanied by a couple of glasses of local wine and some other 'sweet' surprise... finally Limoncello!!!
  • And finally you will be "re-loaded" on our ferrari (ape calessino) and brought back to the historic center of Schiazzano...
