Olbia - Costa Smeralda

The most beautiful beaches of Sardinia

When we think of the Costa Smeralda, we immediately think of Porto Cervo and the famous beaches like Cala di Volpe, Cala Capriccioli, Golfo Pevero, and Liscia Ruja.
However, the 80-kilometer-long coast has much more to offer than luxury, nightlife, and large yachts! For example, there's Spiaggia del Principe, a hidden crescent-shaped bay with shallow clear water, nestled among fragrant shrubs and limestone rocks. Or Spiaggia delle Piscine, located 1 km from Spiaggia di Costa Serena. The water is crystal clear with an emerald green color, and the sand is very fine. An interesting destination for surfers and kiters is Porto Pollo, where there are schools that also rent sports equipment.
From Palau, you can take a boat to the Maddalena Archipelago. But be sure to visit Capo d'Orso first, where the constant wind has shaped granite stones into a spectacular sculpture resembling a bear (orso) with its head (capo) facing towards the islands. Once past Palau, you'll find yourself in another picturesque landscape in Padula Piatta, a long beach of pure white, coarse sand.
