Setúbal district

Setúbal is a unique peninsula located about 50 kilometres down from Lisbon. On this land you can find hidden beaches, mountain ranges, wild dolphins, and even dinosaur footprints!

A big part of Setúbal actually belongs to the Arrábida Natural Park, where you can find beautiful unspoilt nature and wild plants. You can also drive through the mountain range of Serra da Arrábida. You will have a view of long vineyards, or you can stop and sunbathe at one of the beautiful hidden en sheltered beaches of the region. Furthermore, you can hike, kayak, or just enjoy the scenic views. Another option is to take a boat tour during which there is a very big chance you will see the wild dolphins that live there! Furthermore, you can also visit Cabo Espichel, where you will see dinosaur footprints. These footprints are not even from the same times, the dinosaurs that left their print actually lived 50 million years apart!

This peninsula is a truly unique and unspoilt place, perfect for a relaxing getaway. After a day discovering this nature wonder, cool down with a fresh fish meal, combined with a delicious glass of Moscatel de Setúball wine!
