The floating naval museum

The only one in Italy, is located in the oldest and most characteristic port of Cesenatico. This romantic harbor Porto Canale is also worth a visit. The port is designed by none other than Leonardo Da Vinci. The floating part of the museum shows the prototypes of the brightly colored boats. In the summer, they still show the colorful sails adorned with the symbols of fishermen families. On the waterfront there are nice shops, cozy bars and good restaurants where you can enjoy delicious cuisine (with freshly caught fish) or either try the delicious speciality of this region La Piadina, on almost every corner on the street you'll find a kiosk where they sell this typical kind of flat bread baked on a plate and filled as you like with for example mozzarella and ham.

If you're here you can also just enjoy and relax in the sun on the wonderful sandy beaches. The beach clubs on the coast all have convenient sunbeds which you can rent. Regularly volleyball tournaments are organized and in the evenings you have the opportunity to enjoy the sunset while sipping an aperitif.
