Tremiti Islands

Approximately 12 miles off the coast of Gargano lie the Tremiti Islands, known as the "Pearls of the Adriatic Sea" for their charm and unspoiled beauty.
The small archipelago consists of the islands of San Nicola, San Domino, Cretaccio, Caprara, and about 11 miles further away, Pianosa. The crystal-clear waters of the Tremiti attract thousands of tourists each year.
Tourism has gradually increased due to improved connections and new facilities. If you're visiting Termoli or Gargano, be sure to take a day trip to the Tremiti Islands. San Nicola can be explored on foot, or you can take a fantastic boat tour along the many "calette" and coves.
