Portugal Azores

The Azores, islands of unique beauty, an authentic paradise on earth

If you enjoy outdoor activities, nature, and adventure, the Azores archipelago is definitely the destination for you. These nine pristine islands offer a truly unique experience. With few tourists and residents, you can explore the dramatic volcanic landscape at your own pace.
To the east, you can visit Santa Maria, known for its white sandy beaches and vineyards, or explore the largest island, Sao Miguel, and take a leisurely stroll around Sete Cidades and the Fogo Lagoon. In the central part of the archipelago, you'll find Pico, home to Portugal's tallest mountain. You can hike to the summit or choose to go whale and dolphin watching, or even explore the renowned vineyards that are designated as UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Terceira, with its UNESCO city of Angra do Heroísmo and rich history, is also situated in this region. Sao Jorge, Faial, and Graciosa are neighboring islands worth exploring as well.
Heading to the western part of the Azores, you can visit Flores, known for its stunning waterfalls and lakes, or venture to Corvo, where you can spot exotic birds. These islands are ideal for various water sports, indulging in wine tasting with local snacks, rock climbing, observing sea animals, and immersing yourself in the beautiful natural surroundings.
