Liguria, located in the northwest of Italy and bordering the south of France, is known for its delicious olive oil, pesto genovese, focaccia and of course for the many seaside resorts and villages such as the Cinque Terre, Cervo, Alassio, etc. It is also known San Remo festival, where an annual Italian song competition has been held since 1951.
Liguria is one of the smallest areas in Italy and has a coastline of over 300 kilometers long.
