Liguria, located in the northwest of Italy and bordering the south of France, is known for its delicious olive oil, pesto genovese, focaccia and of course for the many seaside resorts and villages such as the Cinque Terre, Cervo, Alassio, etc. It is also known San Remo festival, where an annual Italian song competition has been held since 1951.
Liguria is one of the smallest areas in Italy and has a coastline of over 300 kilometers long. The area is also called the Riviera of Flowers and is divided into Riviera di Ponente on the west side of Genoa and Riviera di Levante on the east side. Riviera di Ponente mainly consists of long sandy beaches and here we find the Alpi Liguri (Ligurian Alps), while the Riviera di Levante mainly has pebble beaches and is mainly known for the Cinque Terre.

  • Historic center of Genova
