Fly & Drive Charming Dalmatia

from: €629 p.p.

Number of nights: 7

Description

Explore Dalmatian coast by staying in Split and Dubrovnik, the most popular touristic destinations in Croatia. Dine and wine in astonishing Dubrovnik, surrounded by its unique beauty that even served as a set for The Game of Thrones! You can also have a coffee nearby Diocletian’s palace, the crown jewel of Split, or take a stroll on “riva”, the lively coastline with numerous restaurants and a panoramic view over the sea.

Dalmatia will amaze you with beautiful pebble and stone beaches, old historical towns and rich cultural heritage settled over many peninsula and islands, stretching over the Adriatic sea.

The wonders of Dubrovnik had left us “wowed” and so should you! Just one look at the defensive city walls or perfectly preserved old city centre influenced by Baroque and many Gothic-Renaissance palaces, made us fall in love. It is not a surprise that it was nick named The Pearl of the Adriatic.

You will love the holiday treat we have picked out for you!

Luxury Residence Mareta4 nights

Enjoy your stay at a UNESCO protected cultural heritage of Split, as Mareta’s stone walls are part of the original stone house from 1850 and just a few minutes away from Diocletian’s palace. Explore Split, the second largest city of Croatia and nearby beaches surrounded by forest Marjan.

We also love Šibenik, another protected UNESCO cultural heritage and a beautiful city, that is surely worth a visit. Looking for a special gourmet treat? Dalmatian food is influenced by the Mediterranean cuisine and most known for its preparation of meat and vegetables under “peka” (fireplace). Surely, you also have to try a specialty from Skradin called Skradin’s risotto that takes up to 10-12 hours to be cooked!

Hit the road again to discover Makarsko Primorje just below the mountain Biokovo and take a swim in the clear blue sea. A must visit is also the Etno village Kokorići where authentic lifestyle is still preserved.

Boutique Hotel Kazbek3 nights

For your stay in in Dubrovnik we have picked out Hotel Kazbek, an impressive 5 star villa constructed in 1573 by a local noble Zamanja family as their summer residence. Kazbek is now fully renovated to the highest standards and has regained its original beauty. This impressive villa is situated directly on the coast in the bay of Gruz just 3 km from the Old City of Dubrovnik that is listed on UNESCO's World Heritage list.

You can take a city walking tour, which we suggest in the early morning since Dubrovnik is one of the southernmost points in Croatia and the sun can get really hot, plus to avoid the crowd. Knežev dvor (or the Rector’s palace) once was a glorious palace when Dubrovnik was a Republic, and surely one of the memorable attractions to visit. To blend with the locals, you can take a stroll on Stradun (or officially ‘Placa’), the main street in the part of the Old Town.

Before you leave, make sure you take a trip to peninsula Pelješac, which is located an hour of drive from Dubrovnik and take a swim on one of its hidden shores. Pelješac is only around 70 km long with about 250 registered wine producers. The most known type of wine is called “Dingač”. For wine lovers this is a must experience! If you like to explore more, there are also Cavtat and Gruda, small and local friendly villages with preserved stone housed and intact nature.
