We have chosen Priorat and the area of Penedes, near Barcelona, for our wine tour simply because are wonderful and their local wine is excellent! The combination between these two lovely places will let you spend a different holiday in Catalonia, you can still visit Barcelona of course easily reachable by car, but these tour is made to discover the region of little villages and their tradition, quietness and peacefull environment. Ideal for couples!
Casa Gran 1771 is MontRubí’s Boutique Winery Hotel, located in a historic farmhouse within the town of L’Avellà, less than an hour away from Barcelona and 40 minutes away from the Sitges beach, in the most idyllic mountainous area of Penedès. This building has its origins in the fourteenth century and was completed in 1771.
In 2021, MontRubí carried out its complete renovation preserving the architectural heritage, evident in its every nook and corner, with unique details such as the stone arcades, its original wood beamed ceilings and an antique wine press.

Clos figueras is located in the Priorat region, near the ancient city Tarragona. The vineyards have existed in the region for more than 2000 years. The restaurant is very good and the wines are, of course, from their very own bodega. You can enjoy a glass of wine in their restaurant or in the lovely garden, where you can try some tapas our other dishes on the menu, all made of seasonal, organic and local products. Patés and cold cuts from local villages, salads and vegetables from their own garden, local pork sausage, orgànic lamb and local pastries.
