wild nature and beaches of Gargano

Gargano

Also known as the "spur of the Boot," is a peninsula in northern Apulia. It is almost entirely surrounded by the Adriatic Sea, except in the west where it is connected to the mainland.
The coast of Gargano is rich in beaches and tourist facilities. As the most fascinating places on the coast, we recommend visiting Mattinata, Vieste, Peschici, and Rodi Garganico. In the northern part of the peninsula, you'll find the saltwater lakes of Lesina and Varano.
The Gargano National Park and the Foresta Umbra are also worth a visit: 11,000 hectares of parkland with maples, cedar trees, oaks, yews, and unique species of orchids. Peschici is located about 20 km away.
