Description
Embassy Row B&B is located in the centre of Zagreb, in the district that is home of many embassies and foreign residencies.
The house was built in 1922 and was home of generations of artist's from where it draws its special atmosphere. The historic street is under protection of Ministry of culture. The house is situated in a gated courtyard and there are two car parking spaces available.
While renovating the house, Nadia Geras, the owner, was inspired by teachings of Christopher Alexander and its great work Pattern language.
Educated in art, Nadia loves to spent her days in the house or in the garden writing. She loves people and had hosted many friends in her house, some world known artist and filmmakers.
She knows a lot about vegetarian cooking and is passionate about organic food. She produces her own jams and relishes. Her breakfasts in the orangery are amazing experience.
Many commercials and feature movies were filmed in the house. It is a perfect setting with many corners that gives you frequent opportunity to be alone or in a good company at the same time.
It is a home of books and fine art arranged in a gentle manner. It is modern, but at the same time, has flair of old times.
Nadia is a world traveler and has always stayed in B&B when travelling, gaining knowledge and inspiration for her own B&B place.
It was her dream to have house full of people whom will appreciate her home, her meals, her drinks and teas. Log fire is lit during the cooler months as there is no substitute for fire. There are beautiful views over the garden and a public park can be seen from almost all the windows of the house. A/Cs are installed everywhere.
