Boutique Hotel Maccarunera -Campagna, Salerno

The Historic Boutique Hotel "Maccarunera" is placed in the very heart of the old town center in Campagna, a medieval small town of ancient traditions. Hotel Maccarunera was masterly resctructured and it offers now luxurious housing: Superior, Deluxe and Suite, all furnished with a well defined and elegant stile, perfect for a memorable sojourn.

The ancient building dates back to the sixteenth century; it originally served as a mill but around the eighteenth century it became a factory of pasta renowned as the "Maccarunera". The manifacturing of pasta stopped in the 40s and the building was left to its own devices. What was once the glorious Maccarunera became soon a ruin. In 2005 the Picentini Turist company took over the abandoned building to make the dream of building a unique Hotel come alive. That dream finally came true. A hard work of historic-architectural revitalisation plan was done by the engeneer Mr. Cosimo Tartaglia designer and creator of the project.
