Description
The house dates back to the 18th century, but we have more information about the property from the early 19th century when an Italian sailor Giuseppe Faggioni arrived at the trading, maritime and shipyard town of Cavtat. During the time he spend there waiting for his ship to be repaired, he decided to permanently move to Cavtat. He was the owner of the house we currently know as the house of Vlaho Bukovac, as well as several other properties surrounding the house. In the nearby area Catterina Faggioni Herendia owned a house we current know as B&B Villa Faggioni. Since that time the house has been in the ownership of family Faggioni, descendants of Jozo, the brother of Vlaho Bukovac, one of the most famous Croatian painters and founders of modern Croatian painting. Last year the house was sold and fully renovated into a modern B&B Villa Faggioni by it's new owners.
This B&B has a superb location right on the main promenade, and 10 rooms that we have for rent are located on the 1st and 2nd floor (top floor) or the house. Each room is an en suite air conditioned modern room with a minibar. To reach the 1st floor the guests need to go over one flight of stairs where they will find a reception that is opened form 08:00-22:00. Breakfast is included in the price and is served from 08:00-12:00. For the guests departing before breakfast time a sandwich is made and provided on the night before departure. For guests with allergies the chef can prepare suitable breakfast, but the owners need to be notified of the allergies in advance.
For this property we can arrange a special transfer that would take the guests straight to the street of the villa on the main promenade. The rates are upon inquiries.
