Description
MATERIIS Trulli e Natura is located in the heart of the Valle d'Itria, between green hills and oak woods. Originally called "Masseria Civitella". Its name has ancient origins: adjacent to the Masseria there was an "Iazzo" (circular stone pitch, now Unesco heritage), part of a "Specchia" (surface of outcropping rock), considered one of the first settlements in nearby Noci. The Masseria was founded in 1897 and preserves the original structures, wisely restored and with them all the charm of the Apulian tradition, told by the stone and the nature in which it is immersed.
MATERIIS Trulli and Nature in Latin: "what remains in the substratum, in the becoming of changes" as quoted by Aristotle at the end of 300 BC. Living spaces and nature in their essence. The primal purity of nature and of what surrounds us, a state that can hardly be found within our hectic and manipulated daily life. Materiis means "nature, in its purity".
MATERIIS Trulli e Natura is now made up of two main areas: the historic stone farmhouse and the small village of trulli, consisting of 14 original cones. It is framed by a wood of centuries-old oaks, whose branches moved by the wind tell of an ancient charm.
MATERIIS Trulli e Natura is the ideal place where the guest immerses himself in the true "Puglia experience", living moments of relaxation and discovery in harmony with nature, such as direct harvesting from the organic garden, cooking class, breakfast served in the green. based on organic products at km 0, traditional lunches and dinners based on dishes that are handed down from generation to generation.
