Ischia - Wine Tasting

The founder Francesco D'Ambra, also known as Don Ciccio, has been devoted to wine growing at a young age. He grows up in a family of growers. And he starts initiating and developing a large company in the old Garavini villa on Ischia, which is the headquarters of the company. Casa D 'Ambra is born. The wine is made from Biancolella, Forastera and e palummo grapes.

Casa D'Ambra buys about 5,000 tonnes of grapes from 150 growers of Ischia annually. The harvest begins around September 20 and lasts until October 10: Due to the quality of the vineyards, their location varies within the ripening periods, but that does not prevent That you are getting a balanced wine each year. The harvest is done manually, and - to ensure the integrity of data - it is transported into small crates. The production processes, from the vineyard to bottling, are the owner and enologist Andrea D'Ambra personally present.

Current vinification and aging processes contributed to the reinforcement of the two characteristics of the wines D'Ambra: the flavor of the aroma and the taste is always defined as "almond". Since 1966, the wines of Ischia are recognized wines with a protected designation of origin.
