Cetara, Nerano and Minori

Far from the mass toursim

Minori is a little village with roman history. A visit at Minori it's worth for its lovely historical centre, the beach, the Roman villas and, if you have time, for a stop to "Bar De Riso" and its worldwide famous Ricotta and Pere cake.

Cetara
Cetara is a picturesque fishing village and one of the most charming places on the Amalfi coast. A visit to this town is highly recommended as it still retains the charm of a village where life depends on the sea. Everywhere, even in the streets and old houses, life revolves around fishing. The name of the town dates back to "Cetraia," in Latin "Tuna," or "Cetari."
A typical dish from this village is the renowned "Cetarail" spaghetti with anchovy sauce. This sauce is made from the fermentation of anchovies marinated in special containers. This fish sauce can be seen as a precursor to the special fish sauce "garum" that the Romans loved.
Nerano
Nerano, a small gem on the Amalfi coast, is far removed from mass tourism. Apart from a few houses, a church, and three beaches, there isn't much to find here. The colors of the houses, the blue sky, and the Mediterranean sea will amaze every visitor. This village is a perfect location for relaxation. In the month of August, it gets crowded with tourists, causing this paradise to lose some of its charm. A boat day trip is unavoidable, and a stroll along the coast of Baia di Leranto and Punta Campanela are absolute must-dos.
